Circular Economy: Sustainability implications and guiding progress (‘CRESTING’)

Recruitment of 15 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researchers

CRESTING is a Marie Skłodowska Curie (MSCA) Innovative Training Network funded by the European Commission (2018-2021). The network comprises a transdisciplinary consortium of universities, government, industry and NGOs located in six European countries (Austria, England, France, Italy, Portugal and The Netherlands), China, Nigeria and Taiwan.

The purpose of CRESTING is to train 15 Early Stage Research (ESR) Fellows in innovative, transdisciplinary and transformative approaches to understanding the implications and facilitating the development of a circular economy (one in which maximum value is extracted from resources and minimum waste generated).  The 15 Early Stage Researcher vacancies are now open for applications.

In addition to engaging in a series of collaborative research and training activities, recruited ESRs will be supported in pursuing a doctoral study project. If you are highly motivated, inspired by learning and undertaking innovative research into the sustainability implications of a circular economy, then one of these ESR vacancies could be the ideal appointment for you.  Each ESR has an international and interdisciplinary supervisory team, also including a non-academic partner.  ESRs will spend time at their co-supervising University, as well as on secondment with another partner institution. CRESTING therefore provides an outstanding opportunity to gain knowledge, experience and build a personal network across different countries, academic fields and employment sectors relating to the circular economy.
